hi and thanks for checking in! ...I'm a transplant from the Midwest, raised with manners, and now in southern California. I'm easygoing, love to laugh and have fun...I also know when to be serious and responsible. I am fiercely loyal, dependable, and sensitive. I am an animal lover (cats in particular), independent, worldly, well travelled, and appreciate intelligent conversation along with an inquisitive mind. I like adventure, spontaneity, and trying new things. my favorite activities include gardening, going to concerts (heavy metal, 80's metal, and new wave in particular), cooking, sewing, repurposing what others may see as junk, learning new things, a night at home, as well as a lovely dinner out. I have a free spirit and love being out in nature. I liked being married, but was widowed in 2013. While I have no problem doing things by myself and enjoying my own company, sometimes life brings you situations where it's just so much nicer to have a best friend to share them with. I'm as comfortable in a formal setting as I am in a casual one, and I'm very adaptable. Loyalty and trust are of utmost importance. Communication is paramount. I like to see the glass as half full instead of half empty, and look for the positive in any situation, learn from mistakes, and i'll admit when I am wrong. I'd like to meet someone that may become my best friend and confidante, and with whom I can be friends, and share life's moments, both good and bad! I'm not a "men in uniform" groupie, as I wear a uniform in my own job and I find it hides my personality. that said, I am also aware of the challenges going out with someone whose life is controlled by their job. I get the regimented lifestyle, and can identify. my career is in aviation, so I am naturally attracted to others in that field, therefore i'd like to get to know someone in the air force. long distance isn't a deal breaker, either. intelligence, wit, and maturity, even if you're young, all are important, while still knowing how to have fun and let loose.
